Recently, the Lord gave me a dream that I believe is a message for this season.
In this dream, I found myself standing at the doorstep of a secluded log cabin nestled deep within the untamed wilderness. It was clear that many other ministers had also been invited to this ministry retreat for a time "refreshing."
As I came to the door, a woman emerged to welcome me. She introduced herself as the owner of the cabin retreat. Her eyes held a glimmer of secrets. I couldn't shake the subtle feeling that something was quite off in my spirit.
I walked through the door as she began to give me a tour. A large window at the back of the cabin drew my gaze, revealing a beautiful scenery. Amongst the majestic oak trees, a mesmerizing swimming pool glistened like a hidden gem in the forest. What struck me most was that it was placed in the heart of the woods with untouched earth embracing its edges.
The hostess, her voice soft and inviting, suggested we venture outdoors, and I followed her through the cabin's back door.
Stepping onto the poolside patio, I watched as the other 5 fold ministers, already hanging out in the pool's crystal-clear waters, appeared to be experiencing pure joy and renewal. Their laughter and jubilant splashes resonated through the air.
With an inviting gesture, the hostess beckoned me toward the pool's edge. My heart wavered with uncertainty as I peered into the pool's depths, unable to discern its true nature. Her words echoed in my ears, a gentle but insistent plea: "JUST DIVE IN!"
Influenced by the other ministers and my desire not to be rude, I yielded to her persuasion and took a daring leap, plunging headfirst into the pool. My senses braced for the expected refreshment, but as the waters enveloped me, my euphoria quickly turned to dread.
What had appeared as a deep tranquil oasis on the surface concealed a sinister secret beneath. The pristine facade gave way to a murky, very shallow depth tainted by the sickly hue of swamp water. My eyes, wide open in shock, scanned the depths, revealing a host of wicked creatures lying in ambush. Sinuous snakes and menacing alligators lurked, poised to strike at the ministers' vulnerable feet and legs.
Instinctively, I fought to regain the surface, swimming toward the safety of the pool's edge. The sinister inhabitants pursued, their relentless pursuit a stark reminder of the hidden dangers lurking beneath the surface.
Breaching the water's edge, I scrambled to safety, my heart racing with newfound clarity. The urgent realization dawned upon me: I had to warn and protect the other ministers from the hidden dangers waiting to strike.
The so-called "retreat" invitation had been a trap all along. I wondered how everyone else did not see what I was seeing! They didn't see that it was a facade! They didn't see the danger! They thought they were being refreshed in deep waters but it was actually shallow swamp water.
My heart continued to race as I said aloud, "I have to warn them."
I then woke up.
The alligators in this dream represented demonic spirits, danger, and destruction. A marine spirit that twists words and is prideful. The alligator has the ability to crush with the mouth and quickly pull you under. Leviathon. Accusations.
The snakes represented satan and demonic spirits. They are venomous and attack with their mouths. They constrict, shut you down. Python spirit. Venomous words spewed out to paralyze another.
The woman- she represented witchcraft, jezebel and wolves in sheep's clothing along with a demonic agenda against ministers in this hour.
As I woke up from this dream and asked the Lord what the meaning of the dream was. I believe the Lord is bringing to light the demonic agenda to entangle preachers in pride, hate, slander and gossip and shut down ministry assignments by pulling them under with their mouths. It is on assignment to bring division in ministerial relationships.
The enemy is lying in wait to attack with the mouth and pull you under. In this hour, we must keep our hearts and mouths clean. Guard your hearts and mouth. Out of the heart, the mouth speaks. Keep your heart pure. Be alert. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. EPHESIANS 6:12
